(Danville, VA) – City leaders aren’t putting much faith in a new report from the University of Virginia’s Weldon Cooper Center that predicts a nine percent decrease in Danville’s population over the next two decades.
If the report is accurate, Danville’s population would drop to just over 42,000 residents in 2020, and just under 38,000 by 2030. Danville City Manager Ken Larking says he’s confident that projects like the Berry Hill Industrial Park and the River District initiatives will reverse the downward trend.
