Richmond, VA – Gas prices dropped another five cents per gallon over the past week. According to Triple-A Mid-Atlantic, there’s been a slow drop in prices since Gulf Coast refineries have begun to recover from the blows they were dealt by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma earlier this month.  Many of those refineries are slowly coming back on line, which accounts for the lowering of gas prices. Nationally, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is about 2.58, down 5 cents from last week.  In Virginia, the average is 2-44 a gallon.
