(Danville, Va.) — D’Quinnton Averon Saunders was found dead early Thursday morning in DeKalb County, Georgia, where he apparently took his own life.

Saunders, 27, had been listed as a person of interest in the murder of Pittsylvania County resident Tiffany Denise Coleman. A business owner on Westover Drive found Coleman’s body in a dumpster last Friday morning and called police. Investigators said only that the 40-year-old Keeling woman had been murdered.

Police said Coleman was last seen with Saunders, whose white 2002 Chevrolet Impala went missing. The car was located over the weekend, but police had been unable to locate Saunders.

According to a news release, Saunders died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Danville Police Department is not currently searching for any other suspects in the death of Tiffany Denise Coleman.
