(Pittsylvania County, Va.) – Court records show that a Collinsville man found dead in a cemetery last month was shot three times in the head.

The body of 26-year-old Tykese Tinsley was found by a caretaker who was cutting the grass at a small cemetery on Oak Hill Road in Axton on the morning of June 29. A nearby headstone had also been overturned.

Tinsley was reported missing to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office by his mother on Thursday, June 28.

According to a warrant, Martinsville Police were informed that the “word on the street” was that Tinsley had been “murdered and was buried somewhere in the county.”

The search for the person responsible for his death continues.
