(Danville, Va.) — Danville Police are investigating the death of 69-year-old Benjamin Anthony Hairston as a homicide.

Police were called to a home in the 1600 block of South St. about 4:20 Tuesday afternoon for a report of an unresponsive male. On arrival, they found Hairston suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. At this time, Hairston’s death  is being investigated as a homicide.

Police are releasing no additional details at this time.
