(Danville, Va.) – Danville Police have charged a man with murder in last week’s homicide on South Street.

52-year-old David Preston Moss is charged first-degree murder in the death of Benjamin Anthony Hairston.

The 69-year-old was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound in a home in 1600 block of South Street on November 13.

Moss is being held in Danville City Jail with no bond. His photo is not being released at this time.

Police said their investigation is ongoing.
