(Henry County, Va.) — Some parents in Henry County are concerned that a middle school wasn’t placed on lockdown after a drive-by shooting Monday afternoon.

It happened in the 700 block of Daniel Creek Road, about a mile from Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School. A man was shot twice by two men in a black vehicle. The shooters have not been located.

School officials say their school resource officer was in constant contact with the sheriff’s office and it was determined that the students were in no immediate danger and that they remain inside the classroom.
