DANVILLE, Va. – Fall starts Monday, but it will feel more like summer.

The typical high for late September is in the upper 70s, but there will be days this week that may be 15° warmer than that. The unusually dry conditions are expected to continue this week and temperatures will be well above average for this time of year.

An upper level area of high pressure will be the main weather feature for a large section of the eastern half of the United States, including Virginia and the Carolinas.

The National Weather Service predicts highs in Danville will generally be in upper 80s to lower 90s this week.
