PITTYSLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – A missing Gretna teen is missing no longer.
Jesse Ray Fielder was located about 1:00 Thursday morning, ending a 12-hour search along West Gretna Road. That’s where authorities say he broke and ran from a car that was transporting him to a juvenile detention facility around noon Wednesday.
Authorities say the 15-year-old was cold and shivering but appeared to be okay. He’s being returned to the juvenile home.
Virginia State Police and Halifax County Sheriff’s deputies assisted in the search, along with a K9 tracking unit.
