Saturday, June 3rd - the Sons of the American Legion Dan River Squadron 1097 will hold a Pancake Breakfast at the Post at 17 Fairfield Avenue from 7:30 'til 10:30am. The cost of the breakfast is $6 for eat in or take out. The meal includes pancakes, sausage, eggs, orange juice and coffee. Poker Run Fundraiser
The Hope Riders present "Busting Clots for Cameron" Poker Run on Saturday, June 3rd at Thunder Road Harley Davidson on 58 West of Danville. Registration is from 10am 'til noon and costs $10 to ride. there will be a live auction, $250 best poker hand prize, door prizes, and a post-ride meal. All proceeds will go to three year old Cameron to assist with medical bills - researching and treating seizures due to a blood clot in the main vein of his brain. Cruiz'n In The River District
Saturday, June 10th (and the 2nd Saturday of each month through Saturday, September 9th), 2017 - the Time Machines Car Club will have their "Cruiz'n In The River District" in Historic Downtown Danville at the new location - the parking garage on the 300 block of Bridge Street beside Golden Leaf Bistro. The event will take place from 5 'til 9pm, where you can enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of the revitalized downtown while cruising your vehciles and meeting new friends! Food available at Dell'anno's Pizza Kitchen, the Golden Leaf Bistro, Brewed Awakening, and Me's Burgers & Brews. VFW 647 Montly Steak Dinner
VFW Post 647 Ladies Auxilary hosts a steak dinner every first Friday of the month from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Dinner includes steak, baked potato, salad, bread, drink and dessert for $14. This is available for dine-in or take-out. VFW Post 647 is on Highway 58 W across from Big Sky rents in Danville. Funds from these dinners stay local and are used to help the community.
