The legendary singer/songwriter/guitarist extraordinaire celebrated the 35th anniversary of his classic double LIVE album "Frampton Comes Alive" at the Durham Performing Arts Center to a packed house on October 5th, 2011. It was a time travel trip as all were transported back 35 years with the most excellent return to classics like "Show Me The Way," "Baby, I Love Your Way," Do You Feel Like We Do," and many more - plus an amazing 2nd set of instrumentals showing off Frampton's thriving guitar prowess. There were special songs and dedidcations throughout the night, including an acoustic set, the story and song about Frampton's unique "banjolele" instrument, as well as a blazing instrumental version of the alternative/grunge band Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" and a touching close to the show with the George Harrison/Beatles classic "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." No one should've left this show feeling short-changed. Bravo, Peter Frampton - after all these years - he's still got it.
