Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser


Saturday, August 23rd - Danville Elks Lodge #227 will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser to benefit the Danville Cancer Association at the Lodge at 560 Main Street downtown Danville.  Hotcakes, savory sausage, juice & coffee will be served.   The cost is only $5.  Help support this local association.   The event takes place from 7 'til 11am.

Magaritaville Festival


Saturday, August 23rd - the Danville Museum of Fine Arts & History will sponsor it's annual "Margaritaville" festival from 5 'til 9pm at Danville's Community Market.   Tickets, which are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, include food from the Golden Leaf Bistro.   Advance tickets are available at the museum, Vintage by the Dan, Gingerbread House, Rippe's, Foxgolve, and the Awards and Trophy Shop.

Family Fun Days


Saturday, August 23rd & Sunday, August 24th - Keeling and Laurel Grove volunteer fire departments will sponsor the First Annual Family Fun Days.   Events will take place Saturday from 10am 'til 8pm and Sunday from 1 'til 6pm.    Activities include water rides, a dunking booth, bounce house, hay rides, cornhole tournament, and more.    The fire departments will also be selling barbecue, hamburgers & hot dogs, ice cream, popcorn and drinks.    Tickets are $5 per car at the gate and $10 for wrstbands.   The events will take place at 18465 Old Richmond Road in Keeling.

Cruizn' at the Danville Mall


Time Machines Car Club and Danville Mall are proudly hosting a Cruise-In every FIRST SATURDAY of the month THROUGH SEPTEMBER at Danville Mall from 6 'til 9pm.   The events are open to ALL vehicles - from stock, special interest, modified, antique to performance and motocycles.    Admission is a donation of a non-perishable food item and/or toiletries for God's Storehouse.   There will also be a 50/50 Drawing with proceeds going to God's Storehouse.   Special awards will be given out for participants as well.   For more info, call 434-792-0400.

VFW 647 Montly Steak Dinner


VFW Post 647 Ladies Auxilary hosts a steak dinner every first Friday of the month from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.  Dinner includes steak, baked potato, salad, bread, drink and dessert for $12.  This is available for dine-in or take-out.  VFW Post 647 is on Highway 58 W across from Big Sky rents in Danville.  Funds from these dinners stay local and are used to help the community.

Let's Dance!
