Alex and Austin went out with Dollar to deliver more Hall's Pastry Shop Donuts today! Here's where we had the pleasure of visiting today: Bankers Insurance/Carter Bank & Trust, Danville Boy's and Girl's Club, URW Community Federal Credit Union, Wilkins & Co Realtors, and HomeTrust Bank.
Alex and Hutch's "Smiles" tour continued with dozens of donuts from Hall's Pastry Shop. We were accompanied by "Dollar", the Top Dawg at URW Community Federal Credit union as we stopped by ERA Holley and Gibson Realty, D&MHeating and Air, Collie Equipment Company, Hollywood Pets and Clearview Glass.
Wednesday, Sept. 21st & Sept. 28th, 2016 - the WBTM gang and "Dollar" the Top Dawg from URW hit some local businesses with some Hall's Pastry love - with fun & delicious donuts for all!
Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 - Alex, Hutch and " Dollar" the "Top Dog" from URW Federal Credit Union hit the streets again and surprised some local folks with fresh donuts from Hall's Pastry shop. They were also reminding people to listen to win $500 at 4:20 this afternoon on the Secret Sound contest with Alex.
On Sunday, February 14th, 2016 - Alex and Piedmont Broadcasting Alumnus Mike Wimmer took a fun pic to capture the moment of the good time they had at the UNC Basketball game in Chapel Hill.
The Kissed By Cupid contest was a huge success!    Thanks to URW, Kissed By Cupid awarded winner Mike Beame with $250 cash, a $100 Outback gift card, and 2 movie passes to Danville Stadium Cinemas.   Here's some photos of Alex presenting Mike with his winnings!
Alex and Hutch made surprise visits to local offices/businesses with Dollar the Dog from URW Community Federal Credit Union.  They dropped off treats to show our love for listeners in the spirit of Valentine's Day.

Friday, December 11th, 2015 - there was a lot of fundraising going on for the Salvation Army's Christmas Bucks for Kids at Danville's Walmart with WBTM & sister station, the Scorpions Motorcycle Club, and more - plus LIVE music from local favorites band - the River City Rousers, who donated all their tips to the cause, too - over a hundred bucks!    WBTM's Barry Shelton plays in the band, too!
Thursday, August 13th, 2015 - Alex got a surprise visit from one of his 'relatives' on his birthday just as he was starting his air shift - check out the photos from the hijinks as his co-workers pulled a fun one on him!
Wednesday, July 1st, 2015 - the legends of rock and roll - the Rolling Stones - rocked and rolled into Raleigh for a stop on their Zip Code Tour, commemorating the reissue of their "Sticky Fingers" album.    They had the packed house of fans at Carter-Finley Stadium on their feet all night long - and Staff Photographer Barry Shelton was on the scene, capturing some of the magic!    Enjoy the pics!
Saturday, August 16th, 2014 - the Carrington Pavilion ROCKED with three great tribute bands (Thunderstruck, an AC/DC tribute, Hysteria, a Def Leppard tribute, and Trial By Fire, a Journey tribute) and a local favorite (Trebuchet).    It was HOT and the stages were HOTTER, with great music and good times for all!   Staff photographer Barry Shelton captured the magic!
The legendary piano man made a stop at Raleigh's PNC Arena and rocked the house to a sold-out crowd!    Gavin Degraw opened the show with a fun set of his pop-rock tunes, too!    You'll hear them both on WBTM, and you can SEE them here - Staff Photographer Barry Shelton was on the scene and captured the evening's magic.

Saturday, July 20, 2013 - Robert Plant, lead vocalist of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin made a stop in nearby Cary, NC for an evening of classic songs from that band's heyday as well as reworked versions of his prolific solo career.   WBTM Staff Photographer Barry Shelton was there to capture the evening's magic.
Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013 - the mighty Night Ranger brought their 80's arena rock to Martinsville Speedway for a Pre-4th of July Celebration like no other!   WBTM Staff Photographer Barry Shelton captured some of the excitement.

On Wednesday, July 11th, 2012 - the voice of so many radio commercials and the host of the Sunday Morning Swing Shift music program on WBTM - Phil Watlington - celebrated 50 years at Piedmont Broadcasting Corporation at a special luncheon with co-workers, peers, and VIPs from the area.
It was a night of nostalgia and great music at Greensboro Coliseum as Van Halen rocked the house playing all the classics like "Jump," with special guests Kool & the Gang!   WBTM Staff Photographer Barry Shelton was on the scene!

Sunday, October 9th, 2011 - The legendary "Weird Al" Yankovic performed at the Durham Performing Arts Center in NC and had a packed house rolling in the aisles!   He played songs from every era of his career, doing musically note-for-note parodies of hit songs from the 80's all the way to soon-to-be classics from his latest album "ALpocalypse."  
The legendary singer/songwriter/guitarist extraordinaire celebrated the 35th anniversary of his classic double LIVE album "Frampton Comes Alive" at the Durham Performing Arts Center to a packed house on October 5th, 2011.    It was a time travel trip as all were transported back 35 years with the most excellent return to classics like "Show Me The Way,"
The area youth came out in force and showed their talents on the stage at the Danville-Pittsylvania County Fair on Friday, September 23rd, 2011. (The event was rescheduled due to rain on Wednesday, September 21st.)
