(Pittsylvania County, VA) – A veteran lineman for Danville Power and Light died on the job yesterday. 63-year –old Samuel Thompson and a coworker were trying to correct a power outage around 8 am on Applewood Drive in Pittsylvania County when Thompson was accidentally electrocuted. He was in an elevated bucket truck at the time. Thompson had worked as a lineman for the utilities department for over 20 years.
