(Danville, Va.) – Danville City Councilman Lee Vogler has been recognized by the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association as the Virginia Local Legislator of the Year.
Vogler was nominated by Delegate Danny Marshall for his work on the land banking legislation in the 2016 General Assembly. Del. Marshall was recognized in 2016 for the Land Banking bill.  Marshall credited Vogler for his “creativity and local energy” in support of the bill.
The Chapter is holding its annual conference in Roanoke Sunday through Wednesday. Vogler will be recognized Tuesday evening.
