(Chatham, Va.) — A local elementary school has received a singular honor. Union Hall Elementary School in Chatham has been named a National Blue Ribbon School.

Chatham Del. Les Adams presented a Joint House Resolution recognizing students and teachers for their achievement. Union Hall was one of only seven schools in Virginia to be so designated in 2017.

The National Blue Ribbons School Award honors great schools across the country for their high achievement.
