(Danville, Va.) – One of two men shot in a weekend incident on Withers Road now faces criminal charges.

Eric Tashawn Coleman, Jr., 26, has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The Danville man was shot in the leg during the exchange of gunfire, which also left a 24-year old Danville man with a bullet wound to the upper torso. His condition is not known.

Police haven’t commented on a motive in the shootings.

Neighbors heard dozens of shots ring out as a crowd fled a party in the 200 block of Withers Road early Sunday morning.

Danville Police say the investigation is ongoing and that more charges are expected.
