(Danville, Va.) — A Goodyear employee was stabbed following a disagreement with another worker at the Danville truck tire plant.

Danville Police and emergency personnel were called to the Goodyear Boulevard facility shortly before noon Tuesday about a possible stabbing. On arrival, officers spoke with a male employee who had suffered a single, non-life threatening cut to his back during a dispute with another male Goodyear worker.

The victim told investigators he was involved in a verbal dispute with the man that escalated and resulted in a knife assault.

The victim was treated on site by the Goodyear medical staff and later went by private car to Sovah Health for further treatment.

No other injuries were reported and the suspect was not on scene when officers arrived.

This incident is currently under investigation.
