(Danville, Va.) – Volunteers with God’s Pit Crew are working close to home this week and are concentrating on the clean-up in Danville after Michael’s wrath caught the city by surprise.

Executive Director Randy Johnson says teams are worked in Danville Monday to begin cutting fallen trees, removing mud from homes and more. That work will continue throughout the week.

On Saturday, the local non-profit partnered with Walmart to distribute bottled water to over 1,000 families in the Danville area.

Over the past five days, God’s Pit Crew has shipped seven tractor-trailer loads of Blessing Buckets and relief supplies to some of the hardest hit areas in Florida and Georgia.
