(Eden, N.C.) – A Virginia man awaits extradition to North Carolina on a murder charge.
Tim Caesar Blanks, 37, of Bassett, Virginia, was arrested in Henry County and charged in a double shooting that left one man dead and another person wounded.
Just after 8:30 Sunday night officers responded to the Eden Inn motel at 213 S. Van Buren Road and discovered that gunshots had been fired into a vehicle.
They found 34-year-old Brandon James Rose, of Reidsville, dead of a gunshot wound and 38-year-old Meghann Rose McKinney, of Reidsville, wounded. Her condition is unknown.
Blanks was arrested less than four hours later and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.
He is being held at the Henry County jail awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.
