(Danville, VA) – The Danville Police Department in cooperation with the Danville City Public Schools opened an investigation into a threat made against George Washington High School on Wednesday.

The post on social media was made by a student and after an investigation was deemed not credible according to a statement released by the Danville Police Department.  “The safety of our students is of utmost priority and response from both agencies was swift and thorough,” police said in a statement.  Charges are being considered against the juvenile in connection to the threat.
