Danville, Va. – Danville Police responded to a report of a shooting Wednesday morning.

Reports to this newsroom indicate the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest in the 300 block of Summit Road. The incident was reported shortly after 6:30 Wednesday morning. Police responded to the intersection of Summit Road and Idlewood Terrace.

Officers are still on the scene investigating.
