DANVILLE, Va. – The Danville School Board has confirmed two more positive cases of COVID-19 locally.
One case was at Westwood Middle School and the other at George Washington High School.
At Westwood, that individual was last in the school building on Monday, November 16. At GWHS, the individual was last in the school building on November 10.
All parents and staff at Westwood Middle School and GWHS have been notified and Danville Public Schools contacted the Virginia Department of Health.
The reports follow an earlier confirmed case at Galileo Magnet High School.
The DPS Pandemic Coordinator began contact tracing immediately and identified any exposures within the schools.
Both Westood and GWHS will continue with their normal school operating hours on Friday, November 20, 2020.
