HENRY COUNTY, Va. – 79 defendants are named in drug indictments returned recently by a grand jury in Henry County.
Sheriff Lane Perry outlined the operation in a Tuesday press conference and said undercover investigators seized pharmaceutical drugs along with heroin, cocaine, meth and marijuana.
43 people have been arrested, including 22 who were taken into custody last week. Many have prior drug distribution convictions.
The months-long investigation involved Henry County Sheriff’s deputies, Virginia State Police, members of the Drug Enforcement Administration and Martinsville Police.
