DANVILLE, Va. – The search for missing Danville girl had a happy ending. Danville Police say 13-year-old Perla Mendosa has been found safe.

The girl was reported missing on Friday. Authorities say it is believed she left her Lansbury Drive voluntarily some time around 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14.

Police were concerned for her safety because of her age and also because Mendosa has known medical conditions, as well as limited proficiency in English.

It’s not known where she was found but Danville Police say she was unharmed.
