The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors is now conducting a national search for a county administrator. According to the Star-Tribune 4 local candidates were interviewed for the job and some will still be considered for the position. Former administrator David Smitherman was fired earlier this year and Clarence Monday was hired to serve in an interim capacity. It’s not clear when the national search will begin.
