A first-degree murder charge is brought in the deaths of 2 men in a 2021 Pittsylvania County shooting. According to the Star-Tribune Omar Rodriguez-Guevara from Danville is accused of killing the 2 men from Mexico then he torched the West Prospect Road home where the bodies were later found. Guevara was originally charged with two counts of first-degree murder but an indictment was returned for only one charge. Trial is to begin next January.
