Averett University will hold their Annual Aviation Day on Friday. The event will take place at Averett’s George J. Falk Flight Center at Danville Regional Airport at 424 Airport Dr. at 10:15 am.

The school will welcome back more than 25 alumni from various sectors of the aviation industry. Averett will also be celebrating at new partnership with Hargrave Military Academy.

The Forgotten Heroes Foundation will have two retired, highly decorated Navy pilots flying two aircraft – a North American AT-6 Texan aircraft and an L-39 Albatros, a high-performance jet trainer fighter designed in Czechoslovakia. Averett will also have a couple of its Piper Archer TXs out for everyone to view.

The remarks and formal program will begin at 10:15 a.m., where we will recognize a partnership with Hargrave and honor the first Hargrave student to complete the partnership for dual enrollment credits. Afterwards, guests will be invited to view the planes.
