Many Danville residents were saddened earlier this week when Hall’s Pastry Shop announced on Facebook that they would close after 48 years in business. The stores owner, Michael Hall announced in a Facebook post that health issues were the reason the store would be closing on April 1.

However, it appears that closure will be short lived. Hall told the Danville Register & Bee that the store will reopen under new ownership on April 4. According to Hall, he received 15 offers to buy the business after he made the announcement.
