The Danville Fire Department says there has been a motor vehicle accident this morning involving a Train and Car Hauler in the Holbrook Avenue Area. Units are currently on scene mitigating a fuel spill. Please avoid the area.
All railroad crossings that are parallel to Industrial Avenue from South Main Street to Craghead Street will be closed until further notice. Including Holbrook, Jefferson, Monument, Lynn and Halifax Road.
Reportedly there were no injuries in the crash.
Update:
Fire units have cleared the scene and turned over cleanup to the railroad. Railroad Crossings will remain blocked until cleanup can be completed.
