On Monday, the Danville Planning Commission recommended approval of two proposed adult daycare centers in the city. The first applicant is requesting approval of a special use permit to allow the establishment of an adult day care facility at 633 Newton Street. 

The proposed facility would utilize an existing, currently vacant structure. The applicant, Tori Fitzgerald, spoke to the planning commission about the plans for the adult daycare center.

The center will operate Monday through Friday, with no evening or overnight hours. The approximately 1,800-square-foot space is adequate to accommodate the proposed occupancy of 20 participants. 

The second applicant was requesting a special use permit to allow the establishment of an adult day care facility at 206 Bell Drive. The proposed facility would utilize an existing, currently vacant structure. 

The applicant, Tony White, spoke about the services the facility will offer.

The proposed facility will operate Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, with no evening or overnight hours. The approximately 2,200-square-foot space is adequate to accommodate the proposed occupancy of 20 participants. 

Danville City Council will vote on both adult day care centers in July.
