There were no injuries during a fire in Danville on Friday. At 5:26 pm, the Danville Fire Department received a report that a house was on fire on Leemont Ct. 

First arriving units saw light smoke showing from the roof of a single story residential structure and could hear an audible alarm from outside of the structure. Crews forced entry into the residence where they encountered heavy smoke conditions and marked a working fire.

A search was initiated along with the deployment of an attack line. The fire was found and brought under control within just minutes however the structure sustained heavy smoke damage throughout.  

The Danville Fire Department responded with  three engines, one tower, one safety unit, two command units and 18 personnel. Units were  on scene for approximately two hours and the incident and cause is still under investigation by the Fire Marshall’s office. The Fire Department was assisted by Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Utilities, and Danville Police Department.
