The Danville Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a scam. Scam callers are claiming that individuals have missed court dates and are demanding payment for fines.
The Danville Sheriff’s Office says that no law enforcement agency will ever ask for money over the phone for missed court appearances or fines.
