(Danville, Va.) – Family members are helping two people who were forced from their home by a late night fire.

Firefighters were called to 614 Franklin Street just before 11:00 p.m. Friday and found smoke showing from all sides of the single-story home. Both occupants got out safely and there were no injuries.

The fire was under control in ten minutes and damage to the home was described as moderate. Units were on the scene for about 90 minutes.

The cause of the fire appears to be accidental but an investigation is continuing.
