DANVILLE, VA — Two Danville teens are charged in a shooting that sent a third to the hospital late Saturday night.
Danville Police have charged two 16-year-olds with shooting a 17-year-old male in a bowling alley parking lot on Riverside Dr. Police were called about 10:20 p.m. and found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to Sovah Health Danville in stable condition.
Investigators say the shooting stemmed from an argument. At one point, a 16-year-old pulled a gun and shot the older boy. He’s charged with malicious wounding and three firearms counts. The other teen is charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated malicious wounding and possession of a firearm by an underage person.
Both are being held in the W.W. Moore Detention Home in Danville.
Police say the victim and the assailants knew each other.
Their names are not being released at this time.
