(Danville, VA) –  The Danville Fire Department responded to a structure fire just after 4:30pm Saturday.  Units were dispatched to 460 Parker Road and upon arrival found heavy smoke showing from the front of a single-story mobile home.

As crews entered the home, they found a single bedroom on fire with no other fire extending into the home. The blaze was extinguished and the home ventilated while teams checked for hot spots.

One occupant of the home was injured and was transported to the SOVAH ER by the Danville Life Saving Crew. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Fire Marshall.
