Danville Utilities will temporarily shut off water service at approximately 8:30 am on Thursday, Dec. 11 (weather permitting), for customers in the Memorial Drive area, including portions of Bishop Road and Oak Ridge Avenue. About 85 customers and seven fire hydrants will be affected.

The outage is required to complete a tie-in to a newly installed water-main valve at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Piedmont Drive. Work is expected to take between three and five hours.
