Average gas prices across Virginia increased by a penny this week compared to last week to $2.70 a gallon, According to AAA. The average price of gas across the county is down by two cents this week to $2.79.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by a nickel this week to $2.59, while the average in Pittsylvania County dropped by three cents this week to $2.65 a gallon. The average price in Martinsville is down by three cents this week to $2.67 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is also down by three cents to $2.65 a gallon. The average price in Halifax County is down by four cents this week to $2.67 a gallon.
