
There were no injuries during a fire in Danville on Friday morning. The Danville Fire Department responded to the fire at 750 Melville Avenue, at 6:44 am.
Upon arrival, units saw heavy fire showing from the house and a blitz attack was initiated. A working fire order was given at that time, hose lines were advanced and an aerial apparatus was set up.
The fire had burned through the roof of the house and had caused severe damage to the structure. The radiant heat from the fire caused minor damage to the house located to the left side of the residence.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Danville Life Saving Crew was on scene and provided rehab for fire department personnel and assessed the occupant’s vital signs. The Danville Utilities Department was on scene and controlled the electrical, gas, and water supplies to the house.
