
A tornado touched down in Martinsville on Monday during severe storms. According to the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, the EF-0 tornado touched down at 10:42 am near the intersection of Commonwealth Boulevard and Fairy Street.
The tornado was on the ground for about 0.5 miles and had maximum wind speeds of about 80 mph. A few trees were blown down and snapped and a few power poles were also blown down.
There were no damages to any structures.
