
There were no injuries during a fire in Danville on Sunday night. The Danville Fire Department responded to the reported structure fire at 2134 North Main St. at 7:37 pm.
First arriving units found heavy smoke coming from the attic area of the home. Fire crews immediately began extinguishment and searched the home for any occupants inside; none were found.
Fire operations were difficult due to the snow and ice along with frigid temperatures. Fire personnel operated on scene for three hours.
The Danville Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Electric, Danville Water & Gas, and Danville Police Dept. Danville Fire Marshal’s Office personnel responded to begin their investigation to determine the cause and found the fire was accidental in nature. The occupants of the home are being assisted by the Red Cross.
