The Danville Concert Association’s final performace of the season will take place on Saturday, March 14th.
The G. Thomas Allen Quintet led by Danville’s own G. Thomas Allen will be performing at George Washington High School starting at 7pm.
Allen, a M. Mus. Associate Professor of Voice at Berklee College of Music, gained national attention in 2014 with his L.A. Opera debut as The First Witch in Dido and Aeneas. In 2021, he made history as the first male winner of the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Competition. In addition to headlining jazz venues around the country, Allen has worked with many orchestras and appeared on Saturday Night Live as a background vocalist for Jacob Collier and Coldplay.
