(Danville, Va) – Averett School of Nursing implemented a Disaster Simulation at the nursing facility, Wednesday, April 18th.  Students were taught how to respond and care for patients in any disaster situation.

Averett partenered with SOVAH Health – Danville, Danville City Police Department, Danville City Fire Department and Danville Life Savings Crew for the exercise.

Emergency training is required by the school’s accrediting body and this activity fulfilled that requirement.
