(Danville, Va.) – Danville Police are investigating a robbery that happened at 9:15 Wednesday night outside Carniceria 2 Toros at 215 Westover Drive.

A female employee was robbed after closing the business. She was approached by a man who demanded money as well as entry to the business. She gave him her keys but his attempts to get inside were unsuccessful. The man fled after getting some money from the employee’s purse and was last seen headed west on Westover Drive in a red Ford Taurus, possibly with North Carolina tags.

He did not display a weapon.

The robber is described as a short, chubby black male, about 30, with a beard and a diamond earring in his left ear.
