(Danville, Va.) — Danville police are seeking information in a Sunday shooting that left a 17-year-old dead in the middle of Arnett Boulevard.

Investigators believe the murder was gang-related and that a shooting into a home across town 90 minutes later was in retaliation for the homicide. They are seeking 19-year-old O’Bryan King for the retaliation shooting on Juless Street and say he is related to the murder victim.

No one was injured in that incident but the Danville Police Department is seeking King on a warrant for shooting into an occupied dwelling. At last report, he was still at large.

Danville Police Lt .Richard Chivvis described the two incidents as “parallel Investigations” and said “we want to prevent any future retaliation.”
