DANVILLE, Va. – Two people were shot and a third was struck by glass fragments early Sunday morning.

Police were called after multiple shots were fired around South Main and Hughes Streets just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Authorities say the shooting occurred in the 200 block of Epps Street.

Police say an 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were both struck in the gunfire. The man was taken to Sovah-Health Danville, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was transferred to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Police say another 21-year-old woman was hit by glass fragments in the shooting.
