CHATHAM, Va. – The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is taking steps to adhere to the recommendations as set forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the Virginia Department of Health (VDOH).

Effective immediately, access to the Moses building will be limited. Residents must in advance for an appointment to gain entry to the building. Instructions will be given to those who have business to conduct within the office, including a screening process where staff members will evaluate and consider alternatives to face-to-face business.

You may call the front office at 434-432-7800 during normal business hours to request access to the Moses building.

The sheriff’s office says this plan will be in effect until health officials relax their guidance regarding the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.
