DANVILLE, Va. – City Manager Ken Larking has announced that beginning on Tuesday, the Municipal Building and all other City offices would be open to the public by appointment only.

The action is being taken to help prevent exposure to and the transmission of the new coronavirus.

“In an effort to protect our workforce and encourage social distancing throughout our community, I’ve decided to take this step,” Larking said. “We have several options available for people to conduct business with the City. Those options include by phone, e-mail, mobile application, and through our website. If none of these is an option, staff will take visitors in person by appointment.”
