Aerofarms received some good news recently. Since late 2025, Aerofarms has been facing the possibility of having to close its Danville location after losing its lead investor.

But last night Danville City Manager Ken Larking provided some good news on the situation.

“They’ve received a large investor, so, they feel comfortable now and are rescinding the WARN notice, which means there are no plans to layoff people at Aerofarms,” said Larking.

The company currently has 127 employees at its Danville location.

AeroFarms officially opened its 140,000 square foot Danville facility in September of 2022 at Cane Creek Centre in Ringgold. It was the world’s largest aeroponic smart farm at the time it opened.
