Last night Danville City Council approved an agreement to help bring a tenant to a vacant facility. City council has approved the City Manager to enter into an electric services agreement with 100 Cane Creek, LLC.

The former Morgan Olson facility was recently sold to 100 Cane Creek, LLC with the vision of locating a manufacturing industry that would require additional electric capacity. The agreement will give the new owner 10 megawatts immediately, 40 megawatts in October 2027, and additional electric capacity once a transmission load study is completed and known.

Mike O’Neil with 100 Cane Creek, LLC says they’ve already a number of companies look at the facility.

The site was once served with a dedicated city transmission line and substation. The substation was removed after Swedwood left as Morgan Olson did not require the additional electric infrastructure.
